“We plant and grow more trees in our parks. We share the same initiative on greening the environment,” Lolita Moliki, CEPMO Administrative Assistant II said in a courtesy call at the Governor’s office held on October 1 as she lauded the province’s environmental advocacies, particularly on the environs of the Capitol Complex.

Moliki, who led a group of 37 employees, said CEPMO will adopt the best practices they have observed in parks management, including the traffic re-routing scheme implemented within the Capitol Complex.

Chief Administrative Officer Irmina Francisco welcomed the visitors on behalf of Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. who is on official travel to United States of America to lead the province’s delegation for a business expo.

“The transformation of the physical environment of the Capitol building and its environs outside transpired since Governor Espino assumed his office in 2007,” Dr. Francisco said.

About 5,000trees of 40 varietieswere planted within the Capitol Complex including the Maramba Boulevard, Capitol Resort Hotel and Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) since 2007 as part of the province’s greening program.

“It’s a matter of disciplineamong personnel assigned to manage and maintain the cleanliness and beauty of a park,” Moliki said as she pointed out that cooperation from people who are visiting a park is also crucial to park management./MGNO
