Renaming of Kalantiao Bldg to Palaris Bldg—Correcting Historical Error. Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. (center) and Congressman Leopoldo Bataoil (2nd from right) lead the renaming ceremony of Kalantiao Building to Palaris Building at the Capitol Complex in Lingayen last September 26. The change in the building name was based on Provincial Ordinance No. 179-2014 which serves as a fitting tribute to Palaris, a true-blooded Pangasinense freedom fighter from Binalatongan, now known as San Carlos City. Kalantiao on the other hand, is a non-Pangasinense and just a figment of imagination according to research. /MVS
