LINGAYEN– The Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH) will soon its own computed tomography (CT) scan machine.

Last week, the provincial board authorized Gov. Amado Espino Jr. “to sign and enter into a memorandum of agreement with HIMEX Corporation for the provision, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance” of Hitachi’s CT scan machine, model Supria with 16 slices.

Assistant Provincial Health Officer Jeremy Rosario said the high-quality machine will be installed at no cost under a Public-Private Partnership agreement between the provincial government and the HIMEX Corporation, with an option to renew the agreement for an updated equipment.

With its own CT scanning machine, PPH’s range of medical services is already comparable to private hospitals in the region. Pangasinan’s health facilities are becoming a benchmark for government hospitals and health care in the country.(Johanne R. Macob/ PNA/PIO)
