Livelihood center resettlement site

LINGAYEN– Some 735 families who were relocated from disaster prone areas the Lingayen Gulf Resettlement Project can look forward to the completion of a multi-purpose center that will provide livelihood opportunities for them.

The center will soon rise in the 300 square meters of land covered by Presidential Proclamation No. 499 on the basis of a resolution passed by the Sanguunian Panlalawigan apportioning certain parcels of land for the establishment of multi-purpose center.

Board Member Nestor Reyes, author of the resolution, said Republic Act 7279 identified the establishment of a multi-purpose center as among the facilities that can help communities in resettlement areas. (PIA- Elsha B. Soriano)
