Dagupan’s 5th Children’s Congress set Oct 14-16

SOME 600 pupils and students from public and private schools are expected to attend the 5th Dagupan Children’s Congress at CSI Stadia from October 14 to 16 with the theme: ‘Advancing Children’s Creative Talents and Well-Being’.

The congress, being organized by the Dagupan City Schools Division, will include a discussion and presentation on the Department of Education’s (DepEd) anti-bullying program in addition to the regular annual activities.

According to Assistant City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lourdes D. Servito, two psychologists will lecture on anti-bullying and theater arts students will portray different situations of bullying in schools in order to create further awareness and teach victims how to respond.

The congress which will have a barrio fiesta motif, will also be attended by members of the Child Protection Committees organized in all the schools. (CIO)
