City scholars get allowance
ALAMINOS CITY—Some scholars of the city government are receiving as much as P5,000 monthly allowances while still others get P5,000 per semester.
Last Sunday, September 7, 52 scholars qualified for the Category A scholarship received P10,000 representing their allowance for August-September while 636 scholars under the Category C scholarship program received their P5,000 allowance for the first semester.
Category A scholarship is granted to high school graduates who finished as valedictorian and salutatorian. Scholars under the Category C program are students pursuing four-year or five-year courses in universities/colleges of their choice.
