THIS city’s oldest Dagupeña who was recently honored in June during the Agew na Dagupan (Dagupan Day) was laid to her final resting place last week.

Known as the glamorous lola, Aurelia Dimacali Landingin of Barangay Bonuan Sabangan, who was honored as oldest living Dagupena died at age 101.

BAI DIDINGHer death came as surprise to many as she was still strong and walked without the aid of a cane during the awarding rites. She wowed the crowd when she belted her favorite Kampangan native song Atin Cu Pung Singsing after she received her award from Mayor Belen Fernandez.

Bai Diding, as she was fondly called in her barangay, was best remembered for being a charmer and would only face anyone with make up on her face, especially her favorite lipstick coating her thin lips as soon as she would wake up until she would rest at night.

She also had her weekly manicure and pedicure and always had her “kikay kit” essentials by her side that contained her array of lipsticks, pressed powder and other make up items. (Tita Roces)
