VMUF lists 3 more board topnotchers

THE entire community of Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) in San Carlos City, is celebrating three of its fresh graduates that made it to the top 10 successful examinees in the 2014 X-ray Technologist Licensure Examination conducted by the Board of Radiologic Technology given in Manila last July 3-4, 2014.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) identified the No. 1 topnotcher as Prima Mia P. Macaraeg of Santa Maria town in Pangasinan with an average rating of 86.00 percent.

A total of 43 passers out of the 158 examinees passed the 2014 X-ray Technologist Licensure Examination.  Last June 2013, Ma. Bevilyn Perpose Ferrer also topped the 2013 X-ray Technologist Licensure Examination with an average rating of 88.00 percent.

Macaraeg’s fellow topnotchers are Giovany S. Camua who ranked No. 4 with her 83.50 percent rating; and Van Umeko C. Velasco, No. 6 with a rating of 83.00 percent and missed No.5 by just .25%.

Also joining this year’s successful examinees are Mark Jason G. De Guzman; Justine Joy T. Dumo; Joy O. Floresca; Cesar Lloyd L. Gutierrez; Neriz S. Mendoza, and Isabel DC. Sanchez.

The VMUF-College of Radiologic Technology obtained a 72.73-percent passing average higher than national passing average of 27.22-percent.

Its graduates have always landed on the top 10 list in the last six years.

The department is also the only school of Radiologic Technology in northern Luzon to produce 15 topnotchers in a span of 6 consecutive years (2008-2014).

The VMUF tendered a Thanksgiving Mass and a Testimonial to honor the new topnotchers and the new batch of X-ray and radiologic technologists at the VMUF Alumni Center last July 30.

The VMUF administration headed by President and Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Ma. Lilia P. Juan, congratulated the new record holders and new board passers.
