New two-storey school buildings for city schools in 2015

THE city school board is considering the replacement next year of all old and dilapidated school buildings in all public schools in Dagupan with two-storey buildings that can also be used as evacuation centers during typhoons and floods.

This was the understanding reached among Mayor Belen T. Fernandez and Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Gloria R. Torres and Federation of Parents Teachers Association president Imelda Q. Gonzales agreed during the school board meeting on August 11 to find ways how to maximize utilization of the school board’s 2015 that will help improve the children’s competence in science, music and e-education.

Mayor Fernandez said the city will hold a Children’s Congress, a Robotics Fair and by next year, the city will fund the training of those interested in learning how to play musical instruments which the city will purchase.  (CIO/Joseph C. Bacani)
