Edna’s School joins Baguio youth cagefest

YOUNG dribblers from Dagupan City’s Edna’s School will join the Baguio City hosted SBP-Pasarelle Twin Tournament 2014 which kicks off on August 24 at Easter College with nine colleges and universities participating.

Ednas will see action against eight high school teams: University of Baguio, Saint Louis University Laboratory, University of Cordillera, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Baguio Patriotic, Baguio City National, SLCLU and Berkeley School.

Ednas, representing Pangasinan, will be coached by former PBA players Christian Calaguio and Jun Marzan, both Pangasinenses, will face SLCLU for their first assignment after the opening ceremony. “The tourney will hone and develop the talents of many young student-athletes from different colleges and universities of Cordillera, La Union and Pangasinan” said Joseph Gonzales, Edna’s School owner and team manager. “This is our first time to join the league and we’re expecting to encounter some serious challenges but we are confident that we could land on the podium,” Gonzales said.
