31 tennis buffs complete 17-day Tennis Clinic

LINGAYEN—Eleven advanced players and 20 beginners completed the 17-day Basic Tennis Clinic sponsored by the provincial government in cooperation with the Lingayen Tennis Club (LTC), held in last month.

Governor Amado Espino Jr., who led the awarding of certificates of completion to the 31 tennis buffs last May 31, exhorted the participants – especially the children — to pursue their interests in tennis as he vowed to continue supporting the sports programs in the province.

“We have the best sports facility, and we expect you to be the best. We renovated the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center where you can enhance your aptitude in sporting events,” the governor told the participants.

The training was conducted by coach and professional lawn tennis trainer George Bandola.

Lingayen Tennis Club president Delphin Jose Aquino cited the strong partnership between the LTC and the provincial government in honing playing skills of tennis enthusiasts in the province.

Players who completed the advance training series include: JunJun Roboza, Coly Reintar, Victor Ed Estira, Aira De Vera, Evonne Pinto, Franz Estrada Ivan Estrada, Rizelle Diaz, Ronell Diaz, Noel dela Cena and Catherine Quizon.

The beginner players were: John Dioso, Leopoldo Bataoil, Rosrick Samantilla, Kharvin Mamaril, Mary dela Cruz, Justin Santos, Zean Kules Santos, Zyrille Estira, Maria Peralta, Neil Valencerina, Jann Ocsan, Aldrin Carl Licudine, Mykee Paredes, Rhyle Gutierrez, Sheila Samantilla, Hannahlle Rufo, Mark Bangsal, Jichel Belen, Josephine dela Cena and Miguel Hans Puzon.
