Manpower agencies set to recruit for overseas jobs

LICENSED manpower companies from Manila will be in Dagupan this month to recruit workers for overseas jobs at the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) at the city hall from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

It is an activity of Mayor Belen T. Fernandez’s Global Dagupeño (OFW) program that seeks to help Dagupeños find jobs overseas as it protects jobseekers from illegal recruiters.

The program’s theme “Global Dagupeño: Kaakbay sa Pag-Unlad at Pagbabago” is meant to recognize overseas workers’ role and contribution to the city’s progress.

The Philippine Assist Life Manpower Corp. will screen applicants for Japan on May 21 for the following jobs: welding, framing construction work, plumbing work, metal press operation, machine assembly finishing work, construction painting work, industrial packaging work, scaffolding work, bar assembly work, lathe machine operation, plastic molding, electronics, and metal painting.

Applicants must be 20 to 26 years old for production operator and plastic molding, and 27 to 30 years old for agriculture, automotive, welder, and laundry; former OFW on related skills is an advantage but must have been in the Philippines for two years after his or her return.

PhilAsia Human Resources, Inc. will be in the city on May 23 to accept applicants for Japan who will work as machine operator, workers in food manufacturing, poultry, hog raising, welder, construction, cattle raising and farming.

Interested applicants must possess positive attitude, 20 to 33 years old, at least high school graduate, no tattoos or earrings for men and no colored or dyed hair.

From May 26 to 30, ABC Manpower Agency Inc. will recruit for domestic helper for Hong Kong; domestic helper, industrial electrician, auto mechanic, refrigeration supervisor, technician, forklift technician, refrigeration and electrical technician, mechanical assistant, welder, baby sitter, cook, dress maker, driver, private nurse, tutor and architect draftsman for Saudi Arabia.

Baby sitter, family driver, housemaid, electrician, jointer cable and plumber for Qatar; domestic helper for Singapore; call center agent, bartender, bussers, cook, dishwasher, host or hostess, general manager, supervisor, civil engineer, surveyor, senior electrician, fabricator and electrical foreman for United Arab Emirates; cook, host or hostess and food server for Kuwait; and barista, bartender, bussers, cook, dishwasher, host or hostess and food server for Oman.

Michaelangelo Manpower Exponent, Inc. will also be here May 20 to 21 to recruit domestic helpers for Hong Kong; housemaids and domestic helpers for Malaysia; domestic helpers and household service workers for Singapore; and domestic helpers and houseboys for Cyprus.
