MEDIA practitioners in Pangasinan got together last April 15 at the Tondaligan Blue Beach in Dagupan City for the opening of the “KBP Summer Sports Saya”.

Organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas Pangasinan chapter, the annual sports event gathers legitimate local members of broadcast, print and social media.

“It is nice to see that the media is united,” said provincial information officer Orpheus who graced the opening ceremonies.

Semi-finals and championships will be held on May 10 and 17, 2014, respectively.

Meanwhile, Dagupan City council’s chairman on public information, Councilor Joey Netu Tamayo, urged the media officials to organize a committee that will recommend criteria for honoring media personalities in Pangasinan who have distinguished themselves as practitioners.–Johanne R. Macob
