LINGAYEN–As Governor Amado Espino Jr. led the Stations of the Cross at the Capitol Complex last Wednesday, an annual tradition started in 2011, he called on Pangasinenses to keep spirituality alive by observing religious practices.

“Let us revisit our old traditions about our church,” he said, addressing in particular the parents whom he urged to teach their children about the real meaning of Lent.

He stressed that in order to further spirituality, people should realize and feel the sacrifices of Jesus Christ, His suffering and death; and celebrate His resurrection.

The Stations of the Cross was observed after a holy mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Francis Lucas Posadas, parish priest of the Epiphany of the Lord.–Johanne R. Macob
