TREE-CUTTING CONTROVERSY—The members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, chaired by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr., took turns in debating the controversial cutting of trees, particularly century-old acacia trees, along the MacArthur Highway from Rosales to Sison towns for the Manila North Road (MNR)-widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
