LINGAYEN–Employees of the provincial government will receive another P10,000 each as their productivity enhancement incentive while P5,000 will be granted as financial assistance  to the job order workers and consultants.

The new incentive package is contained in Supplemental Budget No. 3 passed at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s (SP) regular session last Monday sponsored by Board Member Clemente Arboleda, Jr.

Provincial Budget Officer Hilaria Claveria, on interpellation by Board Member Alfonso Bince Jr, during the SP regular session last Monday, disclosed that P25 million has been allocated for the purpose which was pooled from the savings of the provincial offices with vacant plantilla positions.

Claveria said the grant of incentive bonus every year augments the regular 13th month bonus and P5,000 cash gift of the provincial workers.

The provision for financial assistance to job order employees and consultants started last year.

The provincial employees hailed Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. for granting their midyear bonus since 2008. According to them, it brought them financial relief during the period of school enrolment and it saved them from loan sharks.

Claveria further said that qualified to receive the incentive bonus and financial assistance are those who rendered at least four months service as of November 30.

In a related development, the SP unanimously approved Appropriation Ordinance No. 3-2013 enacting the general fund annual budget of P2.4 billion for the operation of the provincial government of Pangasinan for CY 2014.

Also, the province’s Annual Investment Program (AIP) for CY 2014 amounting to P10.4 billion has been approved by the SP via Provincial Resolution No. 181-2013. (PIO/Merly R. Tibalao)
