LET us now unite.

This was the message of The PUNCH columnist Gonzalo T. Duque, president of the Pangasinan Press Club (PPC), in his speech during a Media Night  hosted by PPC at the CSI Stadia last December 18.

Noting that some members of distanced themselves from the event, which was graced by National Press Club President Benny Antiporda,  Duque said, “My interest is for us all to unite.”

He said that while there is still a pending case in court over the PPC’s set of officers, Regional Trial Court Judge Marvin Jovito Samadan has ordered to “maintain status quo”.

He called on members of the local media to observe the rule of law as he admitted he has no more interest to run again for president of the club.

“I just want the rule of law to prevail. Any body who violates the law does not deserve to be a member of any organization,” he said.

The media night was attended by members of the club and their families.
