Mitoy “The Voice” sings for Pangasinan

LINGAYEN—Following his victory as the first “Voice of the Philippines,” Michael ‘Mitoy’ Yonting came home to his adopted province and sang his thanks for the support of Pangasinenses.

Mitoy graced the kick-off program of the Angguan Tan Ehersisyo ed Kapitolyo (ATE-K), the annual sportsfest of the provincial government employees, on October 7 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium and thanked the people for sending their votes that helped propel him to win the singing competition on national television.

Meanwhile, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan formally expressed its commendation to Mitoy, who married a lass from Calasiao town, through Provincial Resolution no. 131-2013.

“During the competition, he voiced out his outstanding performance and showed his inner confidence in singing, defeating three other contestants for the title during the final competition, and thousands others who auditioned for the title,” reads the resolution.–Johanne R. Macob
