6 arrested for drugs in Bonuan Gueset

DAGUPAN CITY–Five persons in a ‘sniffing’ session were arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by the Dagupan City Police Station on Bartolome Street in Bonuan Gueset here at 4:30 p.m. of October 10.

Arrested were Michael Lomboya, 27, driver, and Richmond Torio, 24, construction worker, both residents of Bangusville, Bonuan Gueset; Frank Balolong, 27, pedicab driver, and Leo Castro, 35, both of Bartolome St., Bonuan Gueset; and Paterno Madarang, 57, of Babasit, Manaoag.

All were caught in the act of sniffing shabu inside the house of Milo Castres, alias “Long”, who was the subject of the drug buy-bust operation.

The police, together with a confidential asset, proceeded to the house of Castres for a drug purchase, but upon receiving the marked money, the suspect sensed police presence and fled.

Subsequently, operatives went to inspect the house of Castres where they found five persons in the act of sniffing shabu.

A certain Philip Salindong, 51, of Barangay Lasip, Calasiao was also invited to the police station after he was seen inside the compound of Castres.

Confiscated from the possession of the suspects were two pieces of heat sealed plastic sachet containing shabu; assorted drug paraphernalia such as three used aluminum foil strips containing shabu residue; improvised pipe tooter, two pieces of lighters, all used for sniffing shabu.

Charges are now being readied against the suspects.
