Campaign vs. teenage pregnancies launched
THE city government of Dagupan recently launched a program giving special focus on growing problem of adolescent pregnancies.
The program includes a series of lectures and documentary film showing in all public and private high schools.
The program, initiated by Mayor Belen Fernandez through the City Population Office headed by Prof. Alex P. De Venecia, kicked off at the Lyceum-Northwestern University on June 3.
The City Population Office will also put up informative tarpaulins in all 31 Barangays to create further awareness about teenage pregnancies.
De Venecia acknowledged the initial sponsors who provided the fund for the tarpaulins and called on the business sector for more support.
