OWWA holds accounting seminars for OFWs

THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Region 1 held a seminar on bookkeeping and accounting for the benefit of Pangasinan Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their dependents.

The “Capability Building Training-Seminar on Financial Management and Strategic Planning for Key Officers” held June 10-11 in Lingayen was attended by 41 participants from OFW 
Family Circles (OFC) of Central and Western Pangasinan.

Labor Communications Officer Amapola Villar said the training-seminar was designed to equip the OFW leaders with knowledge and skills in financial management.

Resource speakers from the Department of Trade and Industry facilitated the seminars attended by presidents, vice-presidents, secretaries, and treasurers from OFW organizations.

Provincial Employment Services Office Chief Alex Ferrer and Pangasinan migrant desk officer Elizardo Laureta also joined the activity.

The same seminar was conducted earlier in eastern Pangasinan and other parts of Region 1. (PIA-1 Pangasinan/AMM)
