Drug pusher shot dead inside jeepney
DAGUPAN CITY–A suspected notorious drug pusher was killed while he was on board a jeepney in Barangay Bonuan Gueset here at 8:00 p.m. of June 18.
Police investigators said the shooting incident, where the fatality was identified as Richard Narvasa, appears to be the result of either a double-cross among drug dealers.
Dangerous Drugs Board Chairman Antonio Villar Jr. recently tagged Dagupan as the main source of illegal drugs for Region 1 and the Cordilleras.
Initial police investigation show that Narvasa, 33, of Sitio Bonuan Sabangan, Bonuan Gueset, was on board a jeepney driven by Joseph Rodencio Sunga, 35, which was flagged down by the suspect who was riding with another man in a motorcycle.
When the jeepney stopped, the killer pretended to board the jeepney but instead took aim at Narvasa and shot him twice.
Narvasa was hit on his right back portion and on the left arm.
The killer alighted from the jeepney, boarded the motorcycle and sped away.
The jeepney driver rushed Narvasa to the Decena Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Recovered from the ramp of the jeepney was one empty shell of Cal. 45 bullet and one sealed plastic sachet containing shabu near the victim’s body inside the jeepney.
