MULTINATIONAL Procter & Gamble made another significant contribution to help students broaden their knowledge by donating desktop computers to several public elementary schools in partnership with Dagupan Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez.

The project is part of P&G’s e.Studyante program nationwide and undertaken in partnership with the CSI Group of Companies, owned by the family of Fernandez, in Dagupan.

One desktop computer each was given to the West Central Elementary School, East Central Integrated School, Pantal Elementary School and Tambac Elementary School.

BELEN FERThe desktop computers were turned over to school officials by Melanie Go, Joyce Santos and Roy Solare, all of P&G, and Fernandez, who has not stopped helping public schools in her effort to make them at par with existing private schools.

P&G earlier turned over 150-wifi-ready XO educational laptop computers to the Lucao Elementary School for the use of Grades V and VI pupils, also under its e.Studyante program.

Lucao Elementary School was the only public elementary school so far that received that many XO laptop computers. The other is the Manuel Quezon Elementary School in Tondo, Manila.

The laptop computers are part of the one million computers P&G intends to donate to public schools across the country until 2055 when the company celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The e.Studyante program  aims to provide learning opportunities to students by enabling them to access all the available valuable information through the internet.
