SM City Rosales was awarded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 1 for its program helping persons with disabilities (PWD).

The award was given during DSWD’s 62nd anniversary celebration, with the theme “DSWD@62: Sama-samang Husay Tungo sa Tagumpay”, last February 12 where various organizations were cited for being the government’s partner in public service.

SM City Rosales conducts yearly seminars for its front liners such as janitors and guards to understand the needs of PWD customers.

Job opportunities were also opened for PWDs and the mall currently has two employees who have hearing impairment and one with orthopedic disability.

SM City Rosales, through the SM Cares program, also initiate events with PWDs involvement.
