Farmer arrested for guns
MANGATAREM— A 65-year old farmer here was arrested the police after he was found in possession of several firearms and ammunition.
Pedro Crisostomo of Barangay Pogon Anis was arrested after joint elements of the Mangatarem Police Station, 23rd Special Action Company 2nd Action Battalion and 1st maneuver Platoon of the Provincial Public Safety Company conducted a raid in his house.
Seized from the house were one 903 rifle with two ammunition, one homemade shotgun and one magazine assembly for the same, three shot gun ammunition and another shotgun magazine assembly.
The raid was implemented by virtue of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Renato D. Pinlac of Branch 57 in San Carlos City
A case for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1866 as amended by RA 8294 is now being prepared against the suspect.
