TWO persons were arrested by the police Thursday afternoon in Sitio Aling, Arellano Street in Dagupan in an operation conducted by the Dagupan Police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Arrested were Rachelle R. Pugal, 33, single, a balut vendor, and Leonardo Dela Cruz, 49.

Pugal was caught in a buy-bust operation where she sold five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves to a police officer who acted as poseur- buyer.

Dela Cruz, a dried/salted fish vendor from Barangay Gabon, San Fabian, was caught in possession of nine pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried marijuana leaves.

Initial investigation showed that the five sachets of marijuana leaves handed by Pugal to the poseur-buyer came from De La Cruz.
