THE pilgrim image of the second Filipino saint, San Pedro Calungsod, canonized last October 21 by Pope Benedict XVI, will visit the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan on November 4 to 5.

Prior to the visit, the novena in honor of the saint will be prayed in all the parishes, chaplaincies and pastoral stations of the archdiocese.

The nine-day novena will start on October 27 and a vigil for the image will be held at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Dagupan City on November 4.

The pilgrim image of San Pedro Calungsod, now considered as the patron of the Filipino youth, will be welcomed by parishioners of the Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr in San Fabian town on November 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the crossroad going to Manaoag town.

The parish youth will be singing songs and reciting prayers.

From San Fabian, the image will be brought to the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary in Manaoag where a short veneration of the image will be held for the public before the image is brought to the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.

The motorcade bringing the image will start at 3:00 p.m. from Manaoag to Dagupan City., then a Holy Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m.

After the mass, a procession with the pilgrim image will be held around Dagupan City.

The overnight vigil will be held starting at 7:30 p.m.

On November 5, a Holy Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist before a day-long motorcade that will bring the image around other parts of Pangasinan, with stops at the Binmaley Catholic School, St. Charles Academy in San Carlos City, and Malasiqui Catholic School.

The pilgrim image will depart for San Fernando, Pampanga at 11:00 a.m.—Eva Visperas
