Junkshop owner shot dead in Rosales

ROSALES–A junkshop owner was shot dead while he and his wife were on board a motorcycle after attending a wake in Barangay Zone 1 here at past 1:00 a.m. of October 11.

Chief Inspector Jackson Segion, chief of police of Rosales, identified the victim as Maximo Cabudoy, 41, who was shot twice in the head by two men riding in tandem in another motorcycle along a municipal road.

The victim was brought to Dr. Chan’s Clinic in Barangay Carmen but was declared dead on arrival.

Cabudoy’s wife Gina, who was seated behind her husband, was unhurt but is still under a state of shock and could not yet give her statement to the police.

The suspects, who were reportedly wearing caps and white sweatshirts, fled and are now being hunted by the police.

Recovered from the crime scene were two spent cartridges of Cal. 45 pistol and a bullet slug of the same caliber.
