Drug dealer shot dead in Dagupan park
A BOTCHED illegal drugs transaction is believed to be the motive behind the slaying of a suspected drug dealer while he was walking at the Tondaligan Park in Bonuan Sunday night.
The victim was identified as Lanereon Gonzales, 26, alias “Bong” of Gonzales Street Barangay Bonuan Boquig.
He was shot on the head by a still unidentified man and died on arrival at the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan.
Supt. Romeo Caramat, chief of police of Dagupan, said the mobile phone of the victim that was recovered by the police minutes after the shooting, showed that prior to the incident, the victim was transacting to procure 3.3 grams of shabu.
