NETS FOR FISHERMEN–Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. (center) hands fishnets (tabal) to Chairman Diosdado Canilang of Barangay Dulag, Binmaley for distribution to marginal fishermen as part of the provincial government’s livelihood assistance program. The fishnets are also aimed at promoting responsible fishing practices instead of the use of illegal fish pens or other structures that pollute the province’s rivers. Assisting the governor is Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) executive officer Paterno Orduna (extreme left) who is leading the massive clean-up of the river system in Pangasinan.
