TWO island communities received two new classrooms each funded by Columbia International Food Products, Incorporated through the Don Go Peng Kuan Foundation.

The classrooms were turned over to the Salapingao and Carael Annexes of the Dagupan City National High School here last March 17 by Reynaldo Yap Go of Columbia International Foods who led the delegation of the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines and Pangasinan.

Go said his company believes in empowering children and Filipino families, especially those who live in developing areas across the country.

“Since the company’s early years, Columbia has stayed committed in giving service to impoverished communities. Not only does Columbia comply with the proper business ethics, but also continue to keep its vow in helping improve lives through our outreach programs and community development projects,” he added.

Also present during the event were Mayor Benjamin Lim, Vice-Mayor Belen Fernandez and City Schools Division Superintendent Alma Ruby Torio.
