LINGAYEN—No untoward incident marred the observance of All Saints and All Souls Days in Pangasinan from November 1 to 2, according to the Police Provincial Office.

Superintendent Harris Fama, police deputy provincial director for operations, said only minor incidents were recorded by the police in few towns of the province.

The police deployed half of its force in the streets as early as October 30 to ward off troublemakers, direct traffic and extend assistance to motorists.

Police Provincial Director Rosueto Ricaforte assigned senior officers per district to oversee the situation and to ensure that rank and file policemen will be in their respective posts.

Fama thanked the members of the Barangay Peace-keeping Actions Teams (BPATS), communications group and the volunteer organizations for lending their help to the police.
