LINGAYEN—The Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) has announced the need to immediately hire at least 2,000 factory workers for local and overseas employment.

But there is one specific condition for applicants: absolutely no body tattoos.

PESO Chief Alex Ferrer said about 450 factory workers will be placed in Taiwan while 2,000 factory workers will be placed locally, specifically in Clark, Pampanga.

Ferrer said Pangasinense workers are highly in demand nowadays because of the good performance and work ethic demonstrated by workers who were earlier placed in both local and overseas employment.

The PESO also continuously accepts applications from skilled workers for screening and orientation to fill in requests from local companies as these come.

Qualifications for the 450 factory workers bound for Taiwan are: female, 20 to 28 years old, single, at least 152 centimeters tall, medium built, college level or college graduate, and with or without experience.

For local placements, male or female, 18 to 27 years old, single or married, high school graduate (with experience in electronics), college level or graduate of vocational course (must be computer literate) and with clear eyesight.

The first Jobs Fair for 2010 will be held at the Kalantiao Building here on January 13 and 14.
