STA. BARBARA–Police Supt. Eric Noble, who has just left his posting as the town police chief here last week, was recently presented the Presidential Lingkod Bayan award by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) last September 17 in Malacanang during the celebration of the 109th Philippine Civil Service anniversary.

In July, Noble was cited by the Metrobank Foundation as one of the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS).

Noble, a native of Sta. Barbara, initiated various unique projects in the town during his term as police chief.  Among them the Feed and Read to Lead Program, conduct of seminars to make fraternity members become productive citizens, livelihood trainings for policemen in the community, and the opening of Mamang Pulis store.

Noble earned the moniker “ghostbuster” in the Philippine National Police (PNP) after he exposed and fired about 146 ghost police officers as deputy chief of the personnel, holding and accounting unit.#
