UL’s Samson elected NAHEI Region 1 prexy

DR. MacArthur M. Samson, president of the University of Luzon, was voted president of the National Association of Higher Education Institutions (NAHEI) in Region I.

The election last January 16 at the President’s Hotel in Lingayen, participated in by all college presidents and heads in Region 1, was attended by Dr. Emmanuel Angeles, chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and CHED Region I Director Dr. Evelyn Pascua.

Other officers elected were Dr. Victoriano C. Estira of Pangasinan State University, vice president; Dr. Ma. Lilia P. Juan of Virgin Milagrosa University Foundation, Secretary; and Dr. Elizabeth A. Montero, Urdaneta City University, treasurer.

Members of the board of directors are Rev. Fr. Gilbert Sales (Saint Louis College), Dr. Voltaire Arzadon (Colegio de Dagupan), Rev. Fr. Dominador O. Ramos (Divine Word College of Urdaneta), Rev. Fr. Reynaldo B. Jimenez (Divine Word College of Laoag), Dr. Romeo T. Padilla (Panpacific University North Philippines), and Dr. Lauro B. Tacbas, (University of Northern Philippines).#
