Campus journalists prepare for press conference contest

LINGAYEN–More than 1,000 high school campus journalists and school paper advisers participated in the three-day Division Training Workshop at the Pangasinan National High School (PNHS) last week in preparation for the annual schools press conference competition later this year.

Soledad Castillo, president of the Association of Pangasinan School Organ Advisers (APSOA), said more than800 elementary campus journalists and school paper advisers also attended same activity late last month at the Lingayen Central School.

Veteran media practitioners were invited to lecture on the different topics such as news writing, sports writing, photojournalism, school paper management, feature writing, editorial writing, cartooning, lay-outing, scriptwriting and radio broadcasting.—CSR
