Pablo wins Tayug fest

TOUR  veteran Emil Pablo of Umingan town broke away from the lead pack at the last round of four to ensnare his first title of the year in the star-studded Tayug open bikefest held last March 14.

Pablo outpedalled 65 others and bagged the P3,000 top prize.

Nueva Ecija ace Alfredo Asuncion came in second for P2,000 while Nueva Vizcayano Fernando Alagano was third for P1,000 .

Asuncion‘s provincemate Joel Calderon checked in fourth and San Manuel’s upcoming cyclist Buddy Salvador finished fifth.

All the contestants survived the well-paved flat roads that traversed the circuit route of the national highways of Tayug, Natividad and San Nicolas municipalities.

All survivors received an incentive prize of P250 each. .

The 72-kilomater road battle is in conjunction with the celebration of the Tayug town fiesta.-JAGJr.
