Ed Sorio of Lingayen LTO carded the lowest gross score in the recently concluded 1st Berex Cup held at the Dagupan Golf Course last September 10.

Sponsored by Vice Mayor Benardo Abalos of Mangaldan, the tournament was held to promote camaraderie among his golfer-friends.

Richie Abalos, the son and CEO of Berex enterprises, raffled off prizes to all the participants that was capped by a get-together sing-a-long party.

Winners were lowest net- Col. Bong Caramat. Class A champion- Abing de Venecia; 1st runner up-Bong Gabriel, 2nd runner up-Col. Raul Ubando; Class B champ-Boy Balingit; 1st runner up- Dr. Rey Aquino; 2nd runner up- Dr. Cris Torio; Class C champ- Arch. Butch Bernal; 1st runner up- Brian Kim; 2nd runner up- Rio Esteves.

Meanwhile, Sorio again topped the field by snaring the lowest gross plum. Robbie Samson won the lowest net. Class A champion- Richie Abalos; 1st runner up – Ed Poserio; 2nd runner up- Rod Segui; Champion Class B- Boy Balingit; 1st runner up Divina Eden; 2nd runner up- Ping Catayong; Class C champion- Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez; 1st runner up Butch Bernal; 2nd     runner up- Cesar Lim.
