NOTICEABLY smarter and glowing, beneficiaries of Cebuana Lhuilier’s “Ang Galing Mo, Bata!” feeding project recently received their diplomas as healthy graduates of 2006.

The students from three day care centers also received their certificates of recognition for being one of the first to receive daily nourishment to fight malnutrition in their areas.

A brainchild of Cebuana Lhuillier president Jean Henri Lhuillier, Ang Galing Mo, Bata! aims to help alleviate problems of malnutrition among Filipino kids. From initially providing daily snacks to kids of Brilliant Minds Day Care Center in Caloocan, Ang Galing Mo, Bata! gradually increased its beneficiaries to include students from Pulung Cacutud in Pampanga, Sitio Culasisis in Antipolo and Iskul ni Bobby in Pasig City.

“Ang Galing Mo, Bata! is Cebuana Lhuillier’s gift to Filipino kids. Most of our beneficiaries are kids from really poor families, families with no stable income. In our own little way we try to help them through our feeding programs,” said Cebuana Lhuillier Regional Manager Barty Espino IV.
