Atty. Bonifacio D. Niño, had raised and was a good father to nice children. His kind daughter -in-law Tessie told, “Though confined in hospital for sometime, he was lucid and alert. He was a good lawyer lawyer, indulgent, hardworking, determined, public servant in BIR and as a Mangatarem Councilor. He was a caring family man.

I knew Atty. Niño, his family, his loving nature, and as a young couple, in my elementary years when we walked to and from the school, his home was filled with beautiful ornamental plants, flowers, trees, indeed, a peaceful nice home garden.

He is survived by loving wife Selvina Estabillio of Mangatarem, a retired school teacher, and children (most live in U.S.) Dan and Myrna, Amor and Tessie, Alex and Annie, Thelma and Chito, Ramon and Chato, Mila, Urduja and Genaro, and grandchildren – Denver, Cherry, Teresa, Andrea, Alexa, April, Allan Jay, Francis, Patrick, Joey and Monique.

The funeral Mass was held on April 8, 2009, officiated by Bishop Teodoro Bacani, 10:00 a.m. at the San Nicolas Tolentino Church, and was interred at the Holy Cross Manila Memorial Park.

His loving daughter Urduja, organized a 9-day novena prayer to their beloved Dad, April 1 to April 8, 2009.
