Dagupan City bets to sign peace pact
CANDIDATES in Dagupan City for the May
10 election will sign a peace covenant
on Monday, March 8, after a holy mass at
the St. John Metropolitan Cathedral at
9:00 a.m.

Ravanzo said the signing of a peace
covenant among candidates was initiated
by city police chief Supt. Mariano Luis
Verzosa.

can ferret out tax cheats
CALASIAO—Tax cheats, beware!
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has
the system to ferret out income earners
and businessmen who do not pay the
correct amount or completely evade
payment of taxes.
BIR Commissioner Joel Tan made
this disclosure in a talk to local media
when he visited the BIR Regional Office
here last week.

Jobseekers warned
vs. illegal recruiters

in the province and victimize people, mostly from the
rural areas, according to the National Bureau of
Investigation (NBI).

Rogelio Mamauaga warned the public and urged them to be
more cautious about job recruiters who require advance
deposits or fees for overseas work placements.
