FINALLY, A DREAM COME TRUE
Sual Port project set to spur industrialization
SUAL--The Sual Port Development Project,
touted to pave the way for the industrialization and the
long-delayed economic development of Pangasinan, broke
ground on Friday.
“As we lower the time capsule
and set the landmark for this strategic project, we are
hopeful that after 365 days, a new climate of growth
will fan the steady march of Pangasinan towards a
premier location for investment,” said Governor Amado
Espino Jr. |
Pangasinan has most number of gun ban
violators
THE biggest number of violators in
Region 1 since the gun ban took effect
on January 10 were arrested in
Pangasinan, according to the Philippine
National Police (PNP) regional office.
Police Chief Superintendent Constante
Azares Jr. , regional director, said 20
were arrested in Pangasinan, 11 in La
Union, seven in Ilocos Norte and six in
Ilocos Sur.

Urdaneta landfill open to few towns only
URDANETA CITY--Neighboring local
government units (LGUs) will not be simply allowed to
dump their garbage in the planned 16-hectare sanitary
landfill in Barangay Catablan here.
Mayor Amadeo Perez Jr. said many LGUs
around Urdaneta are already seeking permission to use
the facility even as the project has yet to start
construction. |
Administrative case vs. Domantay
dismissed
LINGAYEN--The Sanguniang Panlalawigan
(SP) Committee on Good Government and
Accountability of Public Officials has
cleared Malasiqui Mayor Armando Domantay
Sr. of the administrative charges filed
against him over the transfer of several
monuments of heroes in the town center.
At the same time, the committee has
recommended the suspension of further
proceedings on another administrative
charge against Domantay involving the
contract he signed with the Magic Group
of Companies for the lease of a public
land across the municipal hall. |

“Kambing Diplomacy”
for peaceful election
TAYUG--Share pinapaitan, have
peace.
Senior Superintendent Percival Barba,
the police provincial director, has initiated a new
scheme called “Kambing Diplomacy” to help promote a
peaceful campaign period and orderly elections on May
10.
Under the “Kambing Diplomacy”,
candidates are encouraged to talk and work out issues
among themselves over a bowl of hot pinapaitan, a
popular goat dish. |
