MOLINA VERSUS BARANGAY CAPTAINS
Blame game on existence of illegal fish pens begins
CITY Agriculture Officer Emma Molina is now poised for a protracted battle in city hall as blame game on the operation of illegal fish pens in Dagupan City has ensued.
She launched her first offensive following an earlier revelation about the presence of some 305 illegal fish pens in the city last week by accusing some barangay chairmen, or kapitans, as "protectors" of the owners of illegal fish pens.
Cayetano slams poll body on Ladlad's decision
MEMBERS of local gay rights group in the province were elated by the legal viewpoint expressed by a legislator on their cause.
After their petition for accreditation as a party-list was denied by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), members of Ang Ladlad, a national gay rights organization, have found an ally in Senator Pia Cayetano, chairperson of the Senate committee on Social Justice.

Arenas blasts Soriano’s victory claim
"That's a blatant lie!"
Thus said an infuriated 3rd District Rep. Ma. Rachel Arenas over the recent claim anew of Galant Soriano that he actually won the congressional race in 2007.
A recent column item in a national daily quoted Soriano's claim that he was declared winner in the 2007 elections.
