Cup
YMCA based Filipinas Wado Ryu reaps a
gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes in the 2nd
Mayor Strike Revilla Karate Cup held
September 19, 2009 at Molino Gymnasium,
Camella Homes, Bacoor Cavite.
Rookie Narayana Rsi Das
Mesina, a 6-year-old student of Mother
Goose, won the gold in the 6 to 7 Boy’s
Kumite. Narayana's stable stance and
timely reverse punch made him top court
C and eventually the champion when he
defeated the top player of court D.
Ondoy resets bikefest October 18
TYPHOON Ondoy reset all sports
activities in Metro Manila last weekend
including the Manila Criterium Grand
Prix that was supposed to be held on
September 27 at Rizal Park in Luneta.
According to Ric Rodriguez, the
race director, the bikefest was reset to
October 18 at the same venue. Maria
Orosa Street will remain the starting
and finish line.
