Illegal ordinance cannot lapse into law—Lambino
MALASIQUI—Former Vice Governor Oscar Lambino lashed out at Mayor Armando Domantay anew for claiming that the controversial ordinance he used as basis in entering into a lease contract with Magic Group of Companies already lapsed into law and therefore valid.
"On the contrary, it is not - an ordinance which was null and void from the very beginning cannot lapse into law," said an obviously piqued Lambino.
Dagupan, Milpitas renew sisterhood ties
The sisterhood pact between Dagupan and Milpitas cities was renewed for another five years.
The new agreement was signed by Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez and Milpitas City Mayor Robert Livengood in Milpitas on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning in the Philippines).
PUNCHLINE
A mad race to Congress
By Ermin Garcia Jr.

PICKING up from where I left off in our last issue, taking stock of politics in the province, here are more.
The district derby in the 1st District will be an interesting one. It’s going be a political family feud of sort. Multi-awarded TV journalist Maki Pulido, daughter of political heavyweights Nestor and Alicia, will likely don the family’s armor, to do battle with Jesus Celeste, elder brother of Cong. Arthur Celeste, who’s bent on becoming next mayor of Alaminos City. BM Danilo Sison, a true advocate for OFWs’ cause, will seek to divide and conquer.

Hundred Islands now has Reef Rangers
ALAMINOS CITY--Welcome the Reef Rangers.
The new group, organized with the help of US Peace Corp volunteer Garrett E. Feldpausch, aims to complement the Alaminos City government's efforts to protect the marine ecosystem at the Hundred Islands National Park.

9 mayors support a ‘Noynoy-Binay’ team
BINMALEY--Nine mayors in the province have signed a resolution endorsing Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III for President and Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay as vice president for the 2010 elections.
The signatories are Binmaley Mayor Simplicio Rosario, Urbiztondo Mayor Ernesto Balolong, Dasol Mayor Noel Nacar, Aguilar Mayor Ricardo Evangelista, Calasiao Mayor Roy Macanlalay, Malasiqui Mayor Arman Domantay, Burgos Mayor Domingo Doctor Jr, Agno Mayor Jose Pajeta Jr. and Bayambang Mayor Ricardo Camacho.
