Police get two new boats for gulf patrol
LINGAYEN--Two motorized bancas to be
used in the campaign against illegal
fishing in the Lingayen Gulf were turned
over to the Pangasinan police force on
July 25 as part of the
"Pulis Makakalikasan"
program.
The boats were provided by the Directorate
for Integrated Police
Operations-Northern Luzon (DIPO-NL)
headed by Police Director Leopoldo
Bataoil, a native of this town.
DENR launches land titling program in
Manaoag town
MANAOAG--The Department of Environment
and Natural Resources (DENR) recently
launched a program to help facilitate
the titling of lands in this town.
With the cooperation of Mayor Napoleon Sales,
DENR took the initiative as it noted
that there are almost 4,000 lots in the
town that have yet to be titled and
legalized.

Finally, Anda has new town hall
ANDA--Five years after construction started, the "dream"
municipal hall for this small island town will finally
have its soft opening on August 20.
First District Board Member Alicia Pulido,
who started the project when she was mayor here, said
the construction took so long because the local
government of this fourth class municipality opted not
to secure a loan for the building.

City hall bent on restoring sidewalks
THE Dagupan City government is determined to reclaim the
lost sidewalk on Arellano Street, illegally expropriated
for private use by owners of commercial establishments
and residential houses.
The Sidewalk Recovery Program (SRP) was
launched by the city on Arellano-Bani with the
completion of the upgrading of the Arellano Street.
