P112M rice processing complex to rise in Sta. Barbara soon
LINGAYEN--A state-of-the art rice processing complex (RPC) will be built in Sta. Barbara town this year to be funded by a financial grant from the Korean government.
     
The plan was firmed up during a call to Gov. Amado Espino Jr. by a delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) led by Kim In and Young Saeng Lee on Tuesday after they visited the site inside the Provincial Nursery in Sta. Barbara where the project will be located.

PASG confiscates illegal vegetable imports
URDANETA CITY--Two truckloads of imported onions, garlic, pepper and monggo were seized by operatives of the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG) on Thursday at the old cattle market here after the owners failed to show importation documents.
       The PASG has been monitoring movements of illegally imported vegetable products that have been flooding local markets to the disadvantage of local producers.
