PNRC assures blood supply
The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Pangasinan chapter successfully collected a total of 138 units of blood in a mass blood donation held at the CSI The City Mall in Dagupan City in celebration of the 150th year of the Battle of Solferino.
       Floramae Magalong, PNRC Pangasinan administrator, said the recent blood-letting will enable the local chapter to provide for needs of Pangasinenses in the months ahead.

Manay Gina hails e-commerce
MRS. Gina de Venecia, president of the INA Foundation (short for Ina na Nangungulila sa Anak) hailed e-Commerce as "new business of the world" when she spoke during  the graduation exercises of   the Asian Institute of  E-Commerce on June 22 at CSI Stadia in Dagupan.
       Addressing graduates from various AIE campuses in Pangasinan, the wife of Rep. Jose de Venecia Jr., cited India's success in attaining zero inflation rates this year which was attributed to the country's burgeoning e-commerce. 

 

 

 

 

 


LTO's 'Earth Run' set July 4
THE Land Transportation Office (LTO)  headed   by Assistant Secretary Arturo Lomibao, in cooperation with the Dagupan City Schools Division and the Kiwanis Club of  Dagupeña, will hold a fun run on July 4.
       Dubbed as "Earth Run, a marathon for the environment", the event will be held in Dagupan City on the theme “Run and walk for good health and clean air."
 

Feeding program launched anew in city
THE Schools Feeding Program in Dagupan this school year was launched with feeding for Grades I to III pupils in Barangays Carael, Pugaro and Lucao.
      The feeding program, sponsored by CSI Group of Companies and the Jimmy Fernandez Foundation led by Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, helpeddecrease the malnutrition rate among the school population in Dagupan City last year.
 

Students take over city hall
The new Dagupan City "mayor" here exhorted new voters for the 2010 elections to make a big difference by electing a president who can unite the country.
        Fifteen-year old Kim Alexis Vidal, a third-year high school student at the University of Pangasinan, told local newsmen after he and the other newly designated young officials were sworn in by Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. to serve for the duration of the Boys and Girls Week (June 22 to 26) in the city.
