Calasiao builds new town hall
CALASIAO--Construction for a new three-storey municipal building, to replace the hall that was razed to the ground last year, will start in two weeks, Mayor Roy Macanlalay announced.
       
Macanlalay, speaking during the town fiesta celebration Sunday, said a P60-million loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines will be used to finance the building.

Alaminos High wins PNP mural painting contest
ALAMINOS High School topped the mural painting contest sponsored by the Pangasinan police as part of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Transformation Program.
      
The local government of Bugallon took first place in the professional level.
      The murals were rendered on the perimeter fence of the Pangasinan police headquarters in Lingayen.

 

 

 

Mangaldan coed named MBK national champion
MANGALDAN—An incoming fourth year high school student of the Mangaldan National High School was adjudged the Munting Bayani ng Kalikasan national champion.
        Sushen Jimbel Mariz M. Sison, 14, daughter of Jail Sr. Insp. Roque Constantino Sison III and the former Dr. Jay Mayurgas, topped the national competition held last week at Teachers Camp in Baguio City.

Thieves take Limgas 1st runner up's cash prize
GONE too soon.
       
The first runner-up winner in the Limgas na Pangasinan  pageant during the Pista'y Dayat  last May 1, was still thinking about where to spend her P35,000 cash prize when she lost it to thieves who entered her house in Lingayen on May 3.
