Arenas resents Domantay's accomplishment report
MALASIQUI--Third District Rep. Ma. Rachel Arenas is annoyed at this town's chief, Mayor Armand Domantay.
      
Arenas said she resents the presentation of accomplishments made by Domantay during two successive nights of the town's fiesta last week where he took sole credit for several projects in the municipality.
      "Give credit where credit is due," Arenas laments.

 

PhilHealth head faces maul raps
THE National Bureau of Investigation district office in Dagupan City has recommended the filing of a formal charge against Dr. Leo Cardona, regional director of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), for attacking several employees of Leisure Coast Hotel.
      
In a January 20 letter to the City Prosecution Office, Atty. Rogelio Mamauag, NBI agent-in-charge, made the recommendation following the complaint of one of the victims, Raymond Zambrano, a waiter at Leisure Coast.

City gov't resumes dismantling of illegal fishpens
THE city government has resumed on January 28 its operations against the remaining illegal structures in various rivers in Dagupan.
       At least 61 illegal fish structures in the rivers in Calmay, Carael and Sitio Tococ in Lucao were already removed by the Sustainable River Management Task Force before the Christmas holidays.

12 Police stations get new cars
LINGAYEN–Twelve municipal police stations have received a new patrol car each for increased mobility and a better patrolling system.
        The recipients of either a Toyota Hi-Lux or Toyota Innova unit are the police stations in Natividad, Mabini, Sta. Maria, Urbiztondo, Tayug, Burgos, Sta. Barbara, Rosales, Manaoag, Anda, Infanta and Dasol.

Rep. Arenas to endorse renaming of R1MC after Duque
MALASIQUI—Third District Rep. Rachel Arenas said she will endorse a resolution of the city council of Dagupan asking Congress to rename the Region 1 Medical Center in honor of the late Health Secretary and Pangasinan Governor Secretary Francisco Duque Jr.
       Arenas said she was approached by Dagupan officials asking her to make the endorsement even as other city and municipal councils, as well as the provincial board, are reported to be adopting a similar resolution seeking the renaming of the hospital into Francisco Duque Memorial Medical Center.

This was how SPO4 Rogelio Poyaoan, provincial executive senior police officer, described their "Lakad Pulot Basura Campaign" which is intended as part of the police force's physical fitness program and community participation initiatives.
        At least once a week, police officers from the provincial headquarters here take a stroll at the Lingayen beach to get some walking exercise and pick up trash along the way.
